The Value of Validation

Leaders need to validate the thoughts and feelings of those that they lead. That does not guarantee that they agree with those who share their concerns with them, nor will they honor the requests of those who appeal or that the validator fixes all of the problems. Everyone wants to be heard and understood. That is what is great value; to be heard and understood. The leader devalues those who serve with them when the leader does not validate their thoughts and feelings by listening and understanding.
